GARY "GUS" SCHEIWE

Gus has played cover songs as well as original material in many venues over the past 40 years from Mission Beach Qld to Northern NSW.
Being taught professionally under the tutelage of Don Ross for 5 years at the N.A.R.D.A Academy in Buderim, Gus endeavours to keep improving and just enjoys playing music.
Gus has joined us this year in 2025 as the driving force behind the rhythm section within FONIX.
DAVE EVANS
// bass & vocals
Playing bass in cover and tribute bands.
Dave has most recently been performing with the Neil Diamond and Bruce Springsteen Shows as well as supporting original artists around South East Qld.
Dave has a wealth of experience and knowledge.
He also has the skills to record live and mix in a studio environment making him an asset to any band he performs with.
JOHN KIRK
// lead guitar & vocals
John has been playing cover songs for a number of years in duos and bands, at venues around the Sunshine Coast and South East Qld.
He studied at the Los Angeles Music Academy and also completed courses locally in music, live sound and recording.
With his love of blues, country and rock, his playing is influenced by artists such as SRV, AC/DC, ZZ Top, BB King, Lynard Skynard, Danny Gatton and Greg Koch.
DAVE WILLIAMS

Playing pubs/clubs in the early 80’s fronting “The Answers” and “Pigs Fly Backwards” on the NSW coast helped Dave to refine his talents. While supporting Australia’s major touring acts.
The late eighties were spent in Sydney, gigging and recording with “Klumpft” before moving to the Sunshine Coast.
He has recently re-emerged onto the scene with his versatile voice, giving the music of FONIX a distinctive edge.
